Jeaneen Erickson

We are super excited to welcome Mrs. Erickson to our team as the 6th grade teacher.  Jeaneen graduated from Union College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and completed a master's degree in special education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  The 6th grade classroom is full of excitement and Jeaneen has a special way of drawing students into learning with her love for life!   If Mrs. Erickson could plan a perfect day she would love to travel somewhere with her family, especially if it involves something educational, Disney or visiting a beach.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?  To not try and rush on to the next stage of life.  Be present and enjoy each day as it comes along!

Complete this sentence:  If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve....PIE, especially berry pie and ice cream!

My favorite work in the English language is:  Perseverance

What's the most inspiring part of your job?  I love connecting with and getting to know the students and getting excited about what we are learning about.

If I was a superhero, my superpower would be:  Helping everyone to feel included and accepted.

If you were a pasta shape, what would you be and why? I love cavatappi pasta because it is twisty, fun to eat, and kind of quirky!

What is the most important thing you learned in High School?   I learned that not everyone will like you and that's ok.  I learned that all the small things matter and add up to the big things?
