What is a Seventh-Day Adventist Education? Check this out!
"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” - Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)
At College View Academy we're more than a K-12 school. We are a ministry aimed at the hearts of kids, with a mission to educate the whole child. CVA offers accredited K-12th grade education with a solid Seventh-day Adventist Christian foundation. Click on the "HEART" to see a video by principal, Brian Carlson, sharing why CVA believes in taking care of the most important thing...HEART.
We assist parents in developing their children to become all that God created them to be, in a safe, nurturing environment. College View Academy provides high quality academic programs, leadership opportunities, athletics, fine arts, and unique mission trips which prepare students for the next level where God leads them.
These are the core values that we believe are essential to life. If each College View Academy student learns the importance of each of these, we will have succeeded in our goal to prepare our students to live a life for Jesus.
H = Humility, E = Excellence, A = Authenticity, R = Resilience, T = Thoughtfulness
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10 (NIV) Humility is about recognizing that we need God’s help to navigate life and also giving Him acknowledgement for our talents, gifts, and accomplishments. Give credit to Jesus.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men…" Colossians 3:23 (NIV) Excellence is about recognizing that everything thing we do is important in the eyes of God, and we must give our all to thank Him for giving us this life. Work diligently for Jesus.
“For the Lord sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (ESV) Authenticity means understanding that God made you for a special purpose and no matter what others might say, you are valuable to Him just as you are. Live confidently for Jesus.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (ESV) Resilience means rising above the fears of this world and never giving up because you know that God is also fighting for you. Be strong for Jesus.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 (ESV) Thoughtfulness means loving all people and showing compassion towards them, just like Jesus did for you. Love everyone for Jesus.

Dear Mr. Carlson,
I am sure with all the things going on in this world you may need some good news once in a while and a verification that we are here doing God’s work faithfully. Case and point my grandnephew came home from Mrs. Cook's class with questions about Jesus for his mom. Questions about the things he has learned in class. His mom didn’t know what to say and has opened up to family members with questions about what is in the Bible. The Holy Spirit works through even our children. Because of this, his mom now wants to learn about Christ and wants to study the Bible too. She has a thirst for the love only God can provide. I can’t thank God enough for Mrs. Cook and the Christian influence she has on our Children. There is no better time to open their hearts and minds to the love our Heavenly Father has for them. Thank you again for letting us be part of this mission, it hits so very close to home.
