Performance Schedule |:
This Thursday, March 21st we will be hosting and participating in the annual Middle School Choral Festival. The festival will be a day long choir event beginning at 8:30am with Worship and concluding with an evening concert at 6:30 in the CVA Gym. This will include all students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
The theme for this year's festival is "He has Overcome!".
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But, take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33
Each student has already been sign-ed up and fees were collected as a part of the entrance fee at beginning of the year. This will include two meals, music, and a t-shirt. The attire for the day is the festival t-shirt and jeans. The shirts will be passed out on the day of the event. Please make sure your child is wearing jeans and comfortable shoes on Thursday. We will be on our feet a lot!
Please make sure each student makes it to their homeroom at regular start time for attendance and check-in. The evening concert will conclude around 7:30pm. Please plan to pick-up your child no later than 7:40pm from the CVA Gym.
Email, call, or text if you have any further questions. We look forward to seeing each of you Thursday evening as we have prepared an exciting show!
Concert Etiquette |:
Please remember that students are performing as a part of their final grade for the semester, this is like a test for them, so concert decorum is an important part of the evening. Mrs. Weems would like to give you some pointers about proper Concert Etiquette, click on the video to see some friendly hints.
Important Reminders about audience etiquette:
- Silence your cell phones.
- Do not talk during the performance.
- Limit movement in and out of your seat and around the gym during the performance.
- Do not shout, whistle or cheer.
- Keep small children with you at all times.
